Culture
The culture of the Curyugmiut, the people of Curyung, is vast and dynamic because of who we are as individuals. Curyung’s citizens most often identify as Yup’ik, Dena’ina, Alutiiq, Sugpiaq, Inupiaq, but our people carry lineage from many Alaska Native and Native American cultures. Our ways of life are carried from generation to generation through direct teaching and learning as well as oral histories shared through the telling of stories.
